- Creates and executes software test plans with a heavy emphasis on test automation.
- Works in collaboration with developer teammates to develop in tandem a test automation suite.
- Configures environments for testing. Accurately documents test results, diagnose and debug problems and tracks resolution.
- Coordinates feature testing with other development organizations. Adheres to internal processes and assists with the implementation of new departmental procedures.
- The top performers will take an engineering mindset to quality assurance and view their function as part of the development team and process.
- Must have the ability to collaborate in agile testing.
- Requires extensive collaboration with the product analyst, developers and additional teams as necessary and must have willingness to work well with others.
- Participates in project planning, code demos and others form of team quality procedures.
- Performs end to end testing with third party vendors, troubleshooting and escalation to key stakeholders.
- Design, create and present reports and metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2-4 years of applicable experience
- Prior experience in testing large complex projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn unfamiliar systems and processes quickly
- Understanding of quality assurance
- QA standards and testing methodologies
- Programming concepts
- Ability to mentor team members as needed
- Has worked with automated testing processes
- Experience in with modern scripting launches (e.g. python, ruby, etc.) or mainstream programming language (e.g. C#, Java, nodejs, Golang, etc.)
- Competence querying relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) using SQL for troubleshooting and research purposes (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Experience with code base test automation tools (xUnit, Gherkin/Specflow, Chromium/Selenium, Postman)
- Competence or willing to learn version control (Git) tools and usage patterns
